The NBCUniversal itself reported that its ad revenues of $1.2 billion for the 2016 Rio Summer Games is still holding the record. But it is only a matter of time until the record is broken. Tokyo this summer is not a small deal. With such the greater hype revolving around the big fans of sport, the organizers of Tokyo Olympics 2020 can be much greater ads earners in this century event.

The NBC Sports Group representative also claimed that roughly half of the advertisers for the upcoming event are newcomers from various industrial niches from technology, retail, financial institutions, to pharmaceutical services. This fantastic number was starting when NBCUniversal started selling their ads spots in June. Of course, it is far earlier than before. But Lovinger, the representative of the channel claimed that putting the ad sales ahead of schedule was not wrong at all.

Not to mention that the advertising deals between the respective channel and Olympic officials has changed too.
